Ella YLW (1997, São Paulo -Brazil) is a multidisciplinary artist who graduated in Fashion Design from Faculdade Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP- São Paulo). She develops her research using digital and manual practices based on the collage visual fragments.
Ella YLW's art is deeply rooted in her hometown of São Paulo. The city's urban characteristics, aesthetics, and her personal experiences form the bedrock of her artistic vision, giving her work a unique and compelling perspective.
The city is the meeting point and divergence of different lives and stories, making each element unique and particular. The large urban centers put together all the dualities and ambiguities. It is the place where time has no rules. The new and the old go hand in hand. It's the feeling that we can be together but simultaneously feel alone. Where poles and ideals clash, causing strong sentimental explosions, intense transformations, and questions. The city makes us see different results and realities that are often difficult to swallow. From these experiences and worldviews, the artist built her identity and concept in her colorful and saturated point of view.
